PettiCourtyard is India’s first women’s book club. However, seeing the immense interest shown by male book lovers, membership has been opened for men though with some conditions.

 

PettiCourtyard will use books to build a lively platform for members to discuss fresh and exciting ideas, and to dissect hot trends.

 

PettiCourtyard has tied up with Partridge Publishing ( A Penguin Random House Company), Duckbill Books (A partner of Tata’s Westland Books), and Oxford Bookstores to achieve our goal of bringing to our members the most modern and the best expertise from the world of writing and publishing.

 

PettiCourtyard targets the non-metro cities across India. Our meetings and activities are physical as well as virtual. You can connect with us from anywhere across the world.

 

Book Reading and Discussions

The club sessions will comprise of readings of and discussions on books and brainstorming on various subjects ranging from politics, entrepreneurship, women’s rights etc.

 

Literary Events

PettiCourtyard will regularly organise interactions with reputed authors, book readings, meetings with reputed publishers from across the world, promotions of newly released books for its members.

Club Newsletter

PettiCourtyard will publish a bimonthly newsletter. Columns and book reviews written by members will be published in the newsletter. The newsletter will reach thousands of readers across India including authors and publishers.

 

Aims & Objectives

  • Provide a platform to readers and non-readers to share and exchange thoughts on a subject based on a book
  • Connect aspiring authors with authors and publishers of national and international repute
  • Prepare writers. Aspiring writers will be trained through workshops which will include training them on book writing, blog writing and social media writing

 

Rules & Regulations:

 

  • Only the literary content created by PettiCourtyard member will be published in various sections of the club bulletin. Non-members will not be entertained towards this end.
  • Any platform, including PetticoatJournal.com, created for interaction between PettiCourtyard members, should be used for brainstorming and idea exchange in sync with the nature of the club.

 

Membership

PettiCourtyard is open for all book lovers, readers or no readers, storytellers etc.

 

Although PettiCourtyard has been started as a women’s book club, seeing the immense interest shown by male book lovers, the membership has been opened for men. But women get 50 per cent discount on membership fee.
